| Haven't seen one of these threads maybe because it's so hard to predict but I thought having just seen the predictions in the Daily Star (not my paper I hasten to add) I thought I'd put them in here to see what peoples thoughts were.
Just had a quick look so not sure who has done the predictions but they have it like this:
St Helens
Wigan
Leeds
Warrington
Huddersfield
Salford
Hull FC
Hull KR
Catalans
Widnes
Wakefield
Bradford
Castleford
London
I was quite surprised to see them putting Catalans out of the 8 and to see Cas in 13th. Anyone else think they've got it wrong??

| they're hilarious aren't they! I've seen Cas from 13th to 7th in these things.
The upshot of that??? -------> they haven't got the foggiest.
Ultimately, recent years have shown that it only takes a run of good/bad form in 7/8 games to transform a season.
You guys came from 12th to 8th 2 years ago, and last year we lost 8/8 under millward and were bottom at half way.
Anybody outside the top 8 this year could slip away, and considering injuries play a big part in our game, I'd say there are 11 teams capable of being in the top 8 and 6 teams capable of getting relegated
Cas are the prime example. If they finished 8th I wouldn't see it as a major surprise, although similarly if they finished 13th....
Same with Bradford and Widnes... Although the former are having twitchy sphincters over their squad now, Carvell to Hull sounds like a done deal

| People seem to rate Widnes more highly than I do.
We'll see I guess

| I think they're squad retetion has been second to none Pop's, hence how I can't see them doing any worse than last year... that being said, it only takes a poor run to be sucked right in

Probably because most other clubs wouldn't want their players?
They had Hock for a bit of X-Factor last year, if they miss Hanbury for any long spells they will really struggle imo

| maybe so, maybe so. I think Hanbury is the only player I'd REALLY like to have
Looking at their squad it's not got much OOMPH .....it's a bit like ours only without the depth.
It's probably not the best place to say this for obvious reasons, but I would exect my team to be well away from 13th this year. Not so much becuase we look anything special, but Widnes look very average, and there are 3 teams who have had a woeful winter in comparison...

| I think that on paper London and Wakefield look very very very weak and will be cut adrift from the rest very early into the season. Cant see either team winning a game except against each other. So the relegation dog fight that everyone is looking for to give meaningfull games will not happen. I do think that the fight for the 6th 7th and 8th spots will be interesting and will involve several teams. It is obvious that Wigan, Warrington, Saints, Leeds and Hudds will be in the top five, Catalans , Salford , Hull, Cas and Hull KR look slightly stronger than Widnes but Widnes are very well coached by Denis Betts and have the Wigan connection, if Bradford retain all their players then they will be in the mix, so hopefully we will have these 7 teams fighting tooth and nail for three places. should be very exciting except if you are a london or Wakey fan.

| I don't think we will do as badly as you think and I think we are way ahead of London at this stage.
