Quote bellycouldtackle="bellycouldtackle"Think Dean would be best kept in the second row when fit. Reports suggest Griff was great in the under 20`s win against Salford, so good to see him get his chance, like to see players who shine in the under 20`s reawrded with a go in first team, keeps everyone on their toes.
Got to question what we are doing with Harvey, our coaches reported, when we signed him, that they had watched him last year and he was either one of or the best player in last seasons under 20`s. Everyone I have spoken to about him says he is the best half back we have at the club by a country mile. Warrington played him in their pre season matches and he scored tries for fun. We have signed him for a month, did not play him against Salford, are not playing him against Bradford, if this thread is correct. The next match is against Warrington - will he be allowed to play against his own club. Then it will time for him to go home - unless we have plans to extend his stay.
I presume he will get a run out on Saturday in the under 20`s, think I will pop down to Belle Vue and see him play.
It could be that he is injured, or has not trained well, or our coaches think Hyde is a better player, but I just wonder why he is not getting a run out in the first team as that was what we signed him for.'"
Have to agree, this is where JK baffles me. It's a real coach thing, look at me I'm so clever I won't do the obvious. If JK would rather stick with his own lads fine but why bother signing Harvey on loan. Even if the logic is to put pressure on players like Hyde it's still flawed as it's unfair on him.
Play him, if he is ok see if we can loan him for the full season.
