Australian winger, Pat Richards recorded his 150th try in the Cherry and White with a 90 metre interception as the Warriors beat Catalan 38-0.
Richards made sure a difficult Dragons assault ended fruitlessly before notching up a second five minutes later.
The opening stages were tight with neither side able to take advantage of good ball on their opponents’ line.
It was a difficult start but with a quarter of the game gone, Wigan’s new stand-off, Blake Green crossed for the opening try after Matty Smith’s last tackle kick took a deflection.
Smith then combined again with Green who put in a testing grubber for what would have been another from Richards but Damien Blanch came to the rescue.
The Warriors hadn’t to wait long though with Chris Tuson crossing for a try after a sensational inside ball from skipper, Sean O’Loughlin.
Within just two minutes, another followed, this time from Jack Hughes taking the half-time score to a healthy 18-0.
Then came Richards’ spectacular effort which came about after the Dragons launched an attack on the right flank.
2012 Man of Steel Sam Tomkins added one himself before Richards remerged in the spotlight after catching a challenging chip to his wing.
France captain, Olivier Elima was then penalised for a sarcastic round of applause to referee, Phil Bentham.
Later in the set, Elima was sent for ten in the stands for unleashing a further torrent of abuse and the Warrior took advantage to rack up a 38-0 victory through Greg Burke.
