I am interested but not going why are we playing the FC again we have 2 many derbys if you are going to have them every team were possible has a derby or none at all

I haven't missed many, but I don't feel the need to go this year. The derby hype just doesn't cut it anymore. Either they make it all derbies or non at all. Didn't think Newcastle was a patch on Manchester last year, the fan zone seemed crammed in and a bit poorly thought out, and the losing of a game made it 2 short days.
I think it's time to scrap it and come up with a different format, maybe a 9's tournament or the like.

Not been the same since paul daniels died. Could be 5 derbies this season with the friendly which is ridiculous. Needs a shake up

A 9's tournament is a great alternative.

This will be my 9th Magic Weekend and it's my highlight of the RL calendar. I love the banter with the fans of every club and the locals. I try to watch every game but often fail if we get side tracked on the lash somewhere but I tend to agree that we should push for a re-format of the fixture list, like everyone else appears to have.

From a purely selfish point of view, I'm glad we are last on, as (a) I won't spend the weekend sulking so I can enjoy 5 games, and (b) I can consume enough alcohol so that the inevitable derby mullering doesn't really register.

Looking forward to a few scoops in the Brewdog boozer, like a few Punks.
