am i right,in thinking the first game played under floodlights at boulevard,which we won,was early in 1967 against BARROW??? i was not long out of the royal navy.dentist wilf will be able to correct me if i am wrong.

I don't know the answer to this, but I think 1967 would be a little late for Floodlights, I'd have said late 50's or early 60's.

Wednesday 27th September 1967 Hull 31- Leeds 6

Yorkshire Cup semi final an amazing 14,000 attended to look at the new floodlights which were ceremoniously switched on at 7-00 prompt! They were focussed all over the place though. Bev Risman I remember played for Leeds whilst Chris Davidson had a great game for us lot! Oh and Annie Robson complained about the light in her front room in Carrington Street stopping her enjoymen of the tele and tried to charge the Club for the cost of having her front room curtains lined. (reference to any one who has read Roamin the Range Together Number 1)
