As much as I would love Shaun to be back an Wigan - putting him infront of Waney just wouldn't sit right with me.

Wane deserves a crack at the biggest job in British RL.

IL will need to ensure he has a good team around him and that he is given time and support.

If SW could establish himself at Wigan, just think what a fantastic thing it would be for not only the club and the town but for the whole of British RL. To have a successful British coach at the top British club would send a great signal to the rest of RL and help to put some pride and confidence back into the game in this country.

I have utmost respect for Shaun, but he's never coached RL at top level and seems to be a motivational rather than technical coach. Wee need one of each, MM Is v impressive in that we know little about him, and has utmost respect from players, doesn't go mouthing off, gets job done quietly,
