Rose Street is great, loads of pubs on there and handy for progressing onto the Haymarket, before going to the ground itself.
A few of us are planning on making a night of it on Friday, so I've put a call into one of my Edinburgh based contacts to see where she recommends.

You could have a bit of a wait. I believe the Sunday licensing laws in Edinburgh don't let pubs open before 12:30 !! |
