Looking at the amount of injuries and the current situation we find ourselves in..... think we should be looking at bringing a few in to help us start to win games.
Noticed that these guys are quite regular in the reserve league...
Saints:-
Kurt Haggerty (played well when at ours) Centre/2nd row
Kyle Eastmond (we can wish) stand off
Liam Bostock....hooker
Leeds:-
Mike Ratu.....centre
Bradford:-
Michael Platt.....Full back (Mort looks like he`s carrying an injury)
Wayne Godwin....hooker
Jodie Sherriffe......prop
Wakefield:-
Luke George.....centre
Sam Obst....centre/hooker
Warrington:-
Matty Blythe......2nd row
Hull KR:-
Makali Aizue.....prop
David Mills.....prop
Rhys Lovegrove......2nd row
Wigan (scum):-
Karl Pryce....centre
Shaun Ainscough......wing
Ben Davies.....prop
Mark Flannagan....centre/2nd row
Ian Thornley.....centre
Liam Farrell.....2nd row
Dont think it would do the club any harm to enquire about some of these guys as its better for their development than playing in the reserves.Any thoughts?

I know for a fact we have tried for a number of those players but if the players first team coach wont let them go what can we do?

and a few that are playing bit part if not regular first team rugby. So half of them there's no chance. |

How come that reserve players from other clubs are deemed suitable for Leighs first team, yet your own reserves who i may add are playing exceptionally well are considered "not upto standard" by certain individuals on this forum?

I agree our reserves are playing brilliant but you have to look at the
standard of the players they are playing against no disrespect to our lads but they are,nt playing teams like Leeds, Bradford Wigan, Saints ect ect
when they do then we will be able to see which are good enough to make the step up...Saying that i would drop the majority of the first team squad and put the best players out of the 21,s in they cant play any worse than that shower. |
