They’ve only been brought in this season post lockdown - how does that equate to my knowledge of the game.

They are terribly applied. It seems one team gets a set restart near their own line, another team gets one near the opposition line.

They seem to be increasing by each week....I'm guessing they've ditched the 'team warning' nonsense.

If they watch the NRL and learn something........ but I guess not.

Assuming that a set restart should equate to the occasion of a penalty last year I wonder if any of you statisticians out there can tell me if they have been roughly equal

or not?

I think they are becoming a bit of a joke. There is no way that all of the set restart infringements would be given as penalties pre-lockdown. With no scrums etc. players are fatiguing very quickly, it is becoming niggly, but the game has lost all manner of intensity

It's not always clear why the set restarts are given. Some are obvious, but most are not. It simply feels like a random hooter goes off at times rather than knowing why.

I don’t like the set restarts at all. They’re inconsistently applied by officials and I think speeding the game up is certainly adding to fatigue with a lot of players out on their feet after 20 minutes.

I think if the game is going to remain with the restarts we need to make changes for player welfare.

Interchanges increased from 4 > 6 or 8 and increase in interchanges allowed.

I disagree. More fatigue needed to be brought into the sport.

The plus side being that we don't have to listen to the Sky pundits unnecessarily dissecting each and every decision. I prefer the game going on and therefore giving them little, or no time to interrupt.
