Iv asked on WIGAN site but not got the answer yet, but who where the teams in SKYS 1ST EVER game (not 1ST SL Game as that was PSG V Sheffield)

Oldham V Wigan at Boundary Park was the first SL game on British Soil covered by Sky
But with BSB squarial, it could of been Workington V Oldham ?

I answered it on the Wigan forum. Sky's First Game was a Premiership Trophy clash between Castleford and Leeds at Wheldon Road on 21st April 1991.

I think BSB's first match was Wakefield v Wigan from Belle Vue on 1st April 1990.

I remember the Leigh V Widnes game in 1989 was covered by the satellite cameras but did not actually go out onto TV. They recorded it as a trial. Think Leigh won a close game..

RL on ITV was good.

Especially on a Sunday afternoon

should be more RL available to terrestrial viewers - any publicity is good publicity IMO - surprised the RFL hasn't courted the beeb or ITV for Championship RL !
