It doesn't come across to me as sour grapes in the article - perhaps Millward just wants to bring in his own man as new coaches often do.

Not necessarily. I don't get the impression he really thought he was in with a chance of the Cas job and I think he needs to broaden his experience with other clubs as well as coaches. I would also imagine Millward will want to bring in his own assistants.
Hope he does well wherever he goes.

Can't underestimate the job Andy did for us, the head coach is just that - the figure head you rely on the people around you so there is a big chunk of the praise being lavished on TM that is due to Andy Hay.

I hope the people Basil brings in continue to nurture and develop the player pathways that have seen lots of our juniors break through.

Not to me as ET has said I think he needs to go a learn under a new head coach in new surrounding or even cut his teeth as head coach down in the championship somewhere!
