We lack size in our starting pack never mind when we have injuries so the issue is of course just who is available that is bigger and better than him and willing to come. The latter caveat is becoming the most pertinent when it comes to getting players here to Hull FC as those who saw us as a lost cause last year now see us continuing to struggle in front of a supporter base that is as ambitious and as critical as anyone. I have often said in here over the last 12 months, "Well would you sign for us?". As the best player are hived off to the NRL with the lure of Big Money we are left with those that are not that good in Super league or surplus to needs over there. That team building conundrum is for me the big issue going forward. Myler has done well so far for me but I feel now he has his work most definitely cut out!!

Cas fans on their forum seem delighted! not! would have been a decent squad player if stayed, but can't blame him for accepting a bigger offer, young family to support in a short career.

The forum now suggesting we are bitter and every player who leaves we say are rubbish, saying he was player of the year in 2024 (which was bonkers). They clearly haven't read this forum or social media over the last three years or so.

As said best of luck to him but the deal offered by Hull probably reflected that so if Cas see him as a good option and want to splash the cash and give him a 4 year deal then so be it, I'm just glad to see that we no longer seem to retain players simply because of sentimentality or they were part of 'Club Hull'.

He made most appearances last year, missing just one game and amazingly for us only picked up one yellow card. But getting PotY ahead of Ese'ese was crackers.
