You can see why he is so well respected in rugby league. Made an effort to shake each and every one of our player's hands, even waited till Beaver had finished his interview.

Does he always do that or did he make a special effort for us?

I've seen him do it a few times, he did it at the HJ when we were beaten by Wigan earlier on in the year. Seems to do it when he feels the other side have put in a fantastic effort.

he was full of praise for Bradford on his interview with sky... totally outplayed in many departments... beat in everything but points.... he wasn't wrong as well... I was highly impressed with Bradford tonight... they looked decent.

I think smith is a fair man and he was giving them genuine respect.

He doesn't always do it , he does it when its been a good game and he can see the effort the other team has put in he shakes every players hand, did anyone else notice that smith and mcnamara were wearing the same colour suit and shirt.

It's the little things Smith does that make him stand out - such as the shaking hands & crediting the opposition when they deserve it, ensuring the Wire players enter & leave the field together, calling for entertaining rugby. He's a winner but never seems to forget it's only a game and an entertainment business at the end of the day...

its a strange feeling... i watch the interviews and seem to hang on his every word.. tony smith is rugby league.

Justin Morgan could learn alot from a man like Smith.

i wouldn't swap tony smith for any other coach in the world... and i bet im not the only one.

Bellamy or Sheens?

Is that him who can't win a game for NSW, lol he's a great coach Bellamy but at the minute i'd have to say Smith everything about the guy is just fantastic, his attitude, his style.

In his post match interview when he wouldn't look at the camera I couldn't work out whether is was because he was so annoyed with the players or a dislike for the commentators.
