| Yeah, we just need to play something close to how we did against Hull KR & we'll be good to go for the play-offs and I'll also be quietly confident we might turn someone over there if things go well. Hopefully Leeds finish 3rd because we've turned up really well against them in all 3 games, winning 2 and losing the other narrowly. Luckily Saints can't get to 3rd, so it's between either Leeds or Leigh and personally i think we match up good and have played both teams well this season, so fingers crossed. So bummed out about this forum, i always like to have a look every day but I haven't even been able to load the thing most days. Today for some reason it's been no problem. But it's about right, after the season we've had, it would under normal circumstances be fairly busy on here every day with gossip and rumours & people getting excited about what's ahead. Now it's either the Total RL forum which is more general RL chat, or Facebook which just isn't the same at all, or bugger all. i wish someone had set up a proboard forum like Leeds, Hull and Wire etc have done. I'd have done it with someone if i wasn't working the hours i have been lately, I haven't even been able to get to some home games because of bloody work.

| This forum seems to have sorted out its problems. Can't say the same for the Cas forum, which seems to have been hacked.
Assuming we beat Salford and make it through to the playoffs this season will have exceeded expectations and raised the bar for next season. Not bothered who we play if we get through, it's a free hit for us and we are capable of beating any team.

| Aside from Rourke, it looks like we're down to our last 17 first team regulars for this one, and probably for the playoffs too. Jowitt, Walmsley, Scott, Pratt, Johnstone, Trueman, Lino, McMeeken, Hood, Fa'atili, Storton, Griffin, Pitts. Smith, Atoni, Rodwell, Cozza. We've only really got backup at fullback and wing, so I'm praying we come through this one unscathed.
Psychology's massive in sport, and particularly RL where you have to get so mentally up for it week in week out. We couldn't have played against Cas as we did against Hull KR, and vice versa. If we'd beat Cas, we would've got beat by Hull KR. But either way I think we'll be super professional this week, aim to complete high and not overplay, and the scoreboard will look after itself.
We're almost nailed on to go to Leigh away on Friday 26th. And I'd be happy with that. 2 years since I watched us get relegated there, back with a bang. And I'd rather have Leigh away than Leeds away. I think we'd get beat heavily at Headingley, precisely because we have beaten them twice. Again, psychology.
I actually think we have a really good chance of upsetting Leigh - they're the only team in the playoffs that might take us lightly, and I still think they're playing above their weight slightly.

That away game golden point loss at Leigh in 2023 was probably my favourite away day that year By then I actually was looking forward to relegation. Fantastic event as always at Leigh but also a real seesaw game. Are Cas the only team that don't do a firework/light show/flame introduction to their Super League home games????? I would prefer Leeds away if we are fortunate enough to get through. Easier travel, massive local derby, potential massive crowd and equal chance of win or lose.

Agreed, I think we have a slightly better chance of beating Leeds than Leigh, if we get to the playoffs. It would be such a great achievement just getting there this season. Happy Days.

| A scrappy performance, but the loss of Max had a huge effect. Jayden Myers did well after a jittery start to do an ok job. The forwards gradually gained a bit of control and we won at a canter. The 2 owners sat in the stand with smug smiles only goaded the Salford fans. At no point was there an issue between either set of fans. We were all on the same side. Never before have I left a game and been applauded by the opposition. I wish them well but I fear what's to come.
