People say as soon as we get injuries we struggle, would love to see the same happen to Wakey and see how they fare."

Can anyone with a better memory than me remember what we did have?? I recall it was actually quite bad at times...Johnstone, Ashurst, Miller, Huby??? I know the club never whinged about it and never made any excuses.

What was our injury list like?

Johnstone missed 18 games injured against Catalans
Lyne missed 7 games injured against Salford
Milky 9 games injured against wigan
Woody 3 games injured against leeds
Allgood was out for most of season before leaving
Kirmond missed 7 injured against wigan
Molloy issues didn't feature all year
Fifita missed 3 games
Batch missed the last 11
Hadley missed 5 injured against leigh
Walker banned from July

They seem to have a selective memory. When we played in semi final didn't we only have 16 fit players and Kirmo put his hand up to play?

Can't help you with the injury list but what Trinity have done right is spread our cap over players evenly, we don't have four or five superstars taking up mega amounts of £'s. That in itself allows us to strengthen in depth, I'd guess (without looking at the squad list) we have 8 players ready to step in without particularly weakening the starting 17.

It just goes to show that yes, like everyone else, we get injuries, and that we do have strength in depth.

Another thing that this initial post reminded me of was, when in 2015, we played away at Leeds during the Easter schedule, and we had our injury crisis, Brian McDermott, said, pretty much, tough, we all go through these runs and have to deal with it, but then a year later, when they had the same issues, he was pretty much down beat, and used that as the excuses as to why they were struggling.

Hilarious, the lack of knowledge shown there is unbelievable

It was the same in the 2016 season
Our injury list was so bad then danny Kirmond played on injections just so we could field a team

What the likes of widnes fans are still failing to get there heads round is we are now a top team with a v strong squad


This was our team line up in June last year against Salford which is when we were at our worst

Grix, Gibson, Lyne, Arundel, Caton-Brown, Williams, Finn, England, Wood, A. Walker, Hadley, Ashurst, Sio.

Replacements: Crowther, Annakin, Hirst, Huby.

And of that first team there Walker and Gibson could hardly walk and played injured

We were v unlucky around that period because we lost fifta and miller who to me are our two main strike players

It's yesterday's news but if our injuries hadn't being so bad imo we would have made the top 4

Not sure if I missed the announcement, but why was Molloy out all season? And any ideas if he has a club this year?
