Looks like this will be another signing with the announcement in the media. Don't know a great deal about him and not much on the internet. Can play stand off or scrum half. Is of polish decent so may not count on our import quota. Had a serious knee injury 6 months ago and been at 2/3 NRL clubs but not quite made it. Sounds like he's got a point to prove so Super League and Wakefield Trinity may be the right place to get his career back on track as it's done for Tim Smith, Justin Poore and Paul Aiton.
This means we'll have Sykes, Godinet, Goulding and Siejka going for 2 half back positions. Wildie can also play there but I guess he'll be our 9 off the bench to interchange with Mcshane.

Looks like lazy journalism to me, I'd suggest someone's been reading these forums, it was mentioned on here yesterday about him following Wakefield related stuff on Twitter.

Siejka was released from his NZ Warriors contract early as he was home sick and wanted to be near his family in Oz.
He maybe a good talent but if he got homesick in NZ, how is he going to go 12,000 miles away from his family?
Don't want another unhappy player like Issac John or the boo boys will have him.
Unless they have a mutual agreement that if it doesn't work out, both parties can end the contract.
With a name like Siejka, could be some European relations that may get him off the quota.

Irrelevant now. Regardless of his Polish heritage he wasn't trained within the ESL federation so he counts as a non-fed. I believe Salford are currently running with more than five so maybe the regulations have been relaxed. |
