That reminds me very much of the Mcnamara interview on the BBC after Bradford had thrown away a 26 point lead against Catalans. He was very matter of fact , obviously fuming and refused to dress his comments up for the media. There were a few loaded questions attempting him to go ‘Morgan’ on Silverwood but he kept stum.
Very honest and the makings of a top class coach IMO.

I played in the same side as Brian - Eastmoor 2nd team! 
Paul McDermott was the coach back then and Brian had just come out of the Marines. Paul talked Brian into coming down - it was ridiculous, he was head & shoulders better than the rest out there.
Sure enough, within a short period he had signed for Bradford and, once again, Wakey had missed out on a good one from the Merrie City!  |
