The M.E.N. state that an ambitious championhip club are showing interest in Malcolm Alker

I would say that is more his level these days. He tries hard and always give 100% but he simply hasnt got the pace or the attacking threat that a hooker needs in Super League these days.

Doubt Mal would leave after being given the assistant coaches job, think more and more he'll be the starting hooker for JS to come on after 20 minutes and Mal either come of or move into the 2nd row.

He isnt the player he was but he is still our best tackling machine down the middle of the park and we can ill afford to lose him for that reason alone.

Excellent statistical analysis. It just shows how much Mal does. Had he been in another SL team all these years I reckon more international recognition would have come his way. I reckon we'll get the season out of him at least and then who knows. Maybe he'll stay on the coaching. Depends how his body feels and if he fancies playing a bit longer?!
