If you read Smith's comments he said that it wasn't a match squad, it was a group of players he wants to work with and he wants to get to know each other. You can guess from that it'll form the backbone to future England match squads.
Obviously there are no wingers in there and Smith mentioned the above named players are not guaranteed a place in the actual match squads. |
