And whilst this isn't the most serious of threads, we need our goal kicking as good as possible.

So.... I really think he needs to drop the silly pre-conversion routine.

I get the feeling he's really keen to build a brand for himself and that 'tracing the posts' is a gimmik to help this as he knows he'll look different and be remembered for it - he also does the whole giving away his headgear to a kid, which whilst a nice touch, but is done because he's seen JT doing it and getting plenty of positive PR for it. (Im not knocking Golding for doing it too by the way)

I actually think what he's doing is having a negative effect on his kicking, I'd love to see his kicking stats pre-gimmick/post-gimmik.

Plus he might add to his routine. A little spinny twirl perhaps.

I'm not saying don't give him a chance, we need to give him plenty of time - he just needs to drop the attention seeking gimmik IMO |

Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to take off the tinfoil hat.

If it helps him do the same thing every time then that's fair enough, as long as 'the same thing' gives you an 80%+ success rate. We were spoiled by Sinny for so many years though, so we can't expect too much.

Sinny always kept his head down Farrell used to talk to himself Sneyd stands side on et etc EVERY GK has their routine.

I would add, most activities where focus and precision are required usually teach and rely on as little head movement as possible.

I suppose the proof will be in his percentages - I don't remember seeing this technique from him prior to this season, but if others have, clearly it's not a new thing to him.

Leave him alone and let him develop in his own way.
